Overview
Residents were invited to provide input into amendments of the Environmental Protection Act (EPA) and development of a proposed NWT Air Regulatory Framework in 2016.
The amended EPA gives the GNWT authority to develop air regulations and create the foundation for an air regulatory system. It also increases the authority of the Minister to take action to address specific air quality issues.

- What We Heard - Proposed Environmental Protection Act (EPA) Amendments (2016) summarizes feedback on the proposed EPA amendments. The feedback was used to prepare a Bill 27 to implement changes to the EPA.
- What We Heard - Air Regulatory Framework (2016) summarizes feedback on the proposed NWT Air Regulatory Framework.
- What We Heard - Draft Environmental Protection Act Bill (2017) summarizes feedback received on the draft EPA Bill in early 2017.
