The GNWT is proposing amendments to the Highway Designation and Classifications Regulations.
The amendments will:
designate the Giant Mine Boat Launch Access Road and the Great Slave Sailing Club Access Road as primary highways. They will also clarify where the designation of Prelude Lake East Access Road as a primary highway ends to align with existing maintenance practices.
clarify the GNWT’s responsibilities for enforcement and maintenance of these roads.
Next Steps
There were no submissions received by the public during the engagement period. The regulations were signed into force by the Commissioner of the Northwest Territories on February 25, 2022.
