Northwest Territories (NWT) residents were invited to have their say on the proposed regulations under the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act. The Proposed ATIPP Act Regulations - August 2021 will require public bodies to enter into an agreement and document the steps they will be taking to ensure that personal information is properly collected, used or disclosed in the course of operating common or integrated programs or services.
These regulations prescribe the elements of this agreement between public bodies, including the submission of a privacy impact assessment to the Information and Privacy Commissioner and Ministerial authorization.

Feedback is being reviewed and will help inform any potential amendments to the proposed draft regulations.
