The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) Department of Justice gathered public feedback on the proposed regulations for the Child Support Recalculation Service.
The new Child Support Recalculation Service will allow for child support payment amounts to be automatically recalculated using parents updated income information every year for eligible support orders and agreements. This free service will be helpful to parents and children as it will eliminate the need for parents to return to court for an order to change child support amounts, in some situations.
The proposed regulations set out the rules on how the Child Support Recalculation Service will operate.
