Overview

The Government of Northwest Territories will be gathering feedback as part of a compliance audit of French language communications and services in primary health care. The audit will focus on the experiences of patients, parents and caregivers who accessed, or attempted to access, primary care services in French between January 1 and December 31, 2024. Questions will be focused on:

• active offer of services in French;
• effectiveness of delivery of services in French; and
• overall client experience.

PRA Inc., an independent research firm, will conduct approximately 50 interviews (virtually or by phone) in May and June 2025 with residents who sought primary care services in French in 2024. Primary care services can include scheduled appointments, same-day appointments and appointment bookings.

Privacy and confidentiality

PRA Inc. adheres to the rules of conduct of several industry-recognized professional organizations. PRA’s privacy policy adheres to the regulations set out in Part 1 of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and is consistent with the Northwest Territories’ Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, as well as the Health Information Act. The information provided by interview participants will remain confidential to PRA.
