Peary Caribou and Boreal Caribou:

The Conference of Management Authorities agreed to extend the listings of boreal caribou and Peary caribou on the NWT List of Species for another 10 years. These listings came into effect on August 9, 2023.

 

The actions taken by the management authorities in advance of the listing decision (including the details of the public engagement) are provided in Annex B of the Consensus Agreement for listing each species:

 

Northern Mountain Caribou:

 

The actions taken by the management authorities in advance of the decision to accept/adopt the management plan (including the details of the public engagement) are provided in Annex B of the Consensus Agreement:

 

The Conference of Management Authorities signed an agreement to implement the management plan on April 29, 2024.

Peary Caribou and Boreal Caribou:

The Conference of Management Authorities agreed to extend the listings of boreal caribou and Peary caribou on the NWT List of Species for another 10 years. These listings came into effect on August 9, 2023.
