The Action Plan outlines priority actions to guide how the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples will be implemented in the Northwest Territories over time.

This engagement is designed primarily to inform residents and support understanding of the Draft Action Plan. Feedback submitted through this form will be reviewed to:

  • identify areas where additional explanation or clarification may be helpful;
  • surface common questions or concerns; and
  • inform future communications and public reporting.



Many actions in the Draft Action Plan were developed through government‑to‑government collaboration and consensus. As a result, this engagement is not intended to renegotiate action items, but to help ensure the plan is clear, accessible, and well understood.
