The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) would like to better understand current international and interprovincial trade activity in the Northwest Territories (NWT).

Publicly available data on NWT businesses involved in importing and exporting goods is currently limited. To better support NWT businesses and assess the impacts of tariffs and counter-tariffs, as well as gauge the readiness of businesses in the NWT for major Federal infrastructure projects and National Defence projects, the GNWT is seeking input from businesses on trade activity, export readiness, and challenges related to importing and exporting goods.

Purpose/Confidentiality: Information collected through this survey will help inform the GNWT’s programs, services, and policy considerations to better support NWT businesses involved in or looking to expand, trade within Canada and in international markets. 

All responses are confidential, and results will be reported only in aggregate and used for internal planning purposes.
