The Evacuee Travel Support Program (ETSP) and the Evacuee Income Disruption Support Program (EIDS) were created to provide Northwest Territories with financial help during the evacuation events in spring and summer 2023. But we know they weren't perfect. People told us that:

• The application process was hard.
• People didn't always know if they were eligible.
• The rules for the programs were confusing and it wasn’t clear what was covered.
• Not everyone got money quickly.
