Regional Economic Development Plans are being developed for each region of the Northwest Territories. These plans are meant to help encourage and guide economic growth in varying sectors across the Northwest Territories.
Developing these Plans supports the GNWT’s mandate commitment to increase economic diversification by supporting growth in non-extractive sectors and setting regional diversification targets.
Targeted and public engagement is being used to identify and define economic opportunities and challenges that exist in each region. Public engagement has been completed, and a review is underway.
